What fun, the ice maker in my 3 year old Kenmore fridge went kaput. Since the model of ice maker that was in it was discontinued, it took a small amount of research to find the replacement model number, which I ended up finding on the Sears website. Ugh, they also wanted to charge $116 for the replacement ice maker, plus tax, and shipping charges, as well as it being out of stock and back-orders were shipping a week later than order date.
A quick look around the internet landed me at http://waterfiltermart.com where they had the exact same ice maker in stock, for nearly half the price. I bit the bullet, took the chance and ordered from them. The ordering process was simple and painless. I received an email confirmation for the order, and less than a week later the item was delivered to my door.
Upon arrival, I opened the box and found the exact item I ordered packed inside and undamaged. It was a perfect match for the broken ice maker I was replacing, and installation took about 15 minutes, including removal of the old one.
All day long the new ice maker has been churning out ice cubes just like it’s supposed to. I am definitely pleased with my purchase from WaterFilterMart.com and will do business with them again if the need arises.
I’m glad they had the model I needed in stock and shipped quickly, as my freezer was full and I didn’t have a place to set any ice cube trays to make do with until I got a new ice maker to install. Viva iternet shopping!
